NATRA AND RIKK'S POPGEAR AND BEER FUCKIN' DRINKIN' FEST
Use just once and destroy
Invasion of our piracy
Afterbirth of a nation
Starve without your skeleton key
I love you for what I am not
I do not want what I have got
A blanket acne'ed with cigarette burns
Speak at once while taking turns
Second-rate third degree burns
What is wrong with me
What is what I need
What do I think I think
This had nothing to do with what you think
If you ever think at all
Bi-polar opposites attract
All of a sudden my water broke
Hate, hate your enemies
Save, save your friends
Find, find your place
Speak, speak the truth

Always thought ALICE IN CHAINS were more influential, but NIRVANA & COBAIN gave the music industry a much need kick in the pants in '91!
NEGATIVE CREEP, HEART SHAPED BOX, LOVE BUZZ, ALL APOLOGIES...BRILLIANT STUFF!!
i agree Matt....i don't mind alice in cahains but i always thaught nirvana sucked cobain is an overrated no talent jackass who ruined music...just my 2 cents:p
Awesome, brother! Now that's not true radio material at all.
I gotta tell you, I love this band to death (frankly, I love 'em as much as VH...sort of my early teens band). And it's actually the non-singles that are some of my favorite songs (though I also love the singles).
How about this one? My all-time favorite NIRVANA song and one of my favorite driving songs...
Like most babies smell like butter
His smell smelled like no other
He was born scentless and senseless
He was born a scentless apprentice
Go away - get away, get away, get a-way
Every wet nurse refused to feed him
Electrolytes smell like semen
I promise not to sell your perfumed secrets
There are countless formulas for pressing flowers
I lie in the sole and fertilize mushrooms
Leaking out gas fumes are made into perfume
You can’t fire me because I quit
Throw me in the fire and I won’t throw a fit

...um...
I'll just sit here and smile calmly...
NIRVANA saved rock. They rock harder and better than most bands I can think of. They wrote catchy songs. They wrote relentless riff-barrages that would make most housewives weep in fear. And they killed all the shitty hair rock and stupid pop that was so prevalent at the time. From 1991 to about 1993, all was right with the world of rock...

As much as I love the '80's....
91-95 were STELLAR years for rock!
NIRVANA, PEARL JAM, ALICE IN CHAINS, SOUNDGARDEN, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, TAD, SCREAMMING TREES, THE BLACK CROWES, THE BUTTHOLE SUFERS, BLUES TRAVELER, THE CHILLI PEPPERS,......

did i affend you i'm sorry:p ya i'm glad they killed all that bon jovi and poison crap...but there was alot of good 80's hair metal bands....and i don't care much for that pop shit as i do the metal
At the risk of sounding gay, I still prefer the sounds of shitty hair metal bands to Nirvana... no matter how ridiculous those songs were. Take some dudes 'Cherry Pie', for example. Can't remember their names, was listening to the song and thinking ?Mein Gott, how can I be enjoying this, it's such crap!' But I WAS enjoying it, and that's the sad truth...

Mind, of destructive taste
I choose...to stroll amongst the waste
That was your heart
Lost in the dark
Call off the chase
Walls of thought, strong and high
As my castle crumbles with time...
I think of you
Oh, yes I do
Such a crime
You opened fire...and your mark was true
You opened fire...aim my smilin' skull at you
You opened fire...
I live tomorrow, you I'll not follow
As you wallow in a sea of sorrow
Lines cut across my face
Why you laugh at my disgrace
I'll never know
How far to go
To reach that place
You opened fire...and your mark was true }
You opened fire...aim my smilin' skull at you }
You opened fire... } (2x)
I live tomorrow, you I'll not follow }}
As you wallow in a sea of sorrow }} (out...)
