His voice just works for me. It's like RAY DAVIES' voice. Not elegant...but just fucking cool. I love that raspy vibrato Bolan is always using...his breathed vocal in MAMBO SUN is cooler than anything a dumbass rocker like Hagar could pull off in ten albums.Originally posted by Bill Lumbergh
I did the same thing..........starting out with those two albums.......then moved into stuff like Tanx and Bolan's Zip Gun........Bolans vocals are an acquired taste, but I love the emotions he wrings out of his guitar AND voice.
Do you have DANDY IN THE UNDERWORLD? My bro got me that for XMas and it's great. A truly cool album...though a weird one. It's also his last.
