Well.....Moose, Guwapo, and myself maneuvered ourselves up front during one of the openers set.........lots kids, no problem getting up front.......


DAVE goes on about 10:20PM.....HOT as Hell with that many people crammed together...THANK GOD for the hose up front!!!!

DAVE comes out to "HOT FOR TEACHER"!!! Band is ON FIRE!!! DAVE is wearing that white leather kinda biker suit......very cool! He's lookin' a little different than the last time I saw him...1991!!! But, DAVE FUCKING KICKED ASS!!!
His voice was in better form than I had heard it in years! He concentrated on singing the songs! HE KNEW ALL THE FUCKING WORDS!!!!:D:D:DHAHAHA!!!

You could see how jazzed he was to be in front on a crowd TWICE what some old band of his last averaged playing to!!!:D:D:D
Stopped in the middle of HFT..."LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE HERE TONIGHT!!!"
He didn't rely on many of the old sayings...unlike some reported at recent shows......he was lucid & very much in control of the show.

Brian Young & Toshi are very talented guitar players. The bass player(He come nobody ever remembers the bass players name?!?) was good. Ray ROCKS on the drums!!!
The band was TIGHT and played the songs with ATTITUDE!!!

DAVE was FUCKING PERFECT the entire night!

He'd scat sing when the mood hit him! Still cuts up with the crowd!
But they TORE thru the set with a vengeance!!!

The place was CRAZY!!! The kids around me said several times "HE'S A LEGEND!!!"

Very cool to see a new batch of ROWDY MOTHER FUCKERS rockin' to CLASSIC VAN HALEN!!!!

Yup @ Dave with a huge crowd. I've always found it both ironic and pathetic that The Lying Dutchmen used to claim that they would never care about crowd sizes, they'd play on stools in empty bars cos they're "musicians" unlike Dave's need for the spotlight. Flashforward to the present and who's done what? Dave is/has always been playing NO MATTER WHAT!!! Why? Cos he loves performing. Whether it's infront of two hundred people or twenty thousand. It's in HIS blood.

I'm still laughing that last year's Van Hagar "reunion" had over twenty thousand seats available in SLC, yet they didn't even pack in 9,000 and that was with a gazillion free radio give-aways. ROTMFFLMMFAO!!!
