I noticed a while back that you have the lyrics to WISHING WELL in your journal...sweet choice, dude!I love that song, and I love COME TOGETHER IN THE MORNING and HEARTBREAKER even more. Come to think of it, HEARTBREAKER (no people, not the Zeppelin song) is my favorite Paul Rodgers song ever!!
BAD COMPANY was good, but they were never as intense of raw as the amazing FREE!!!

Paul Kossoff is one bad Mutha!!! I always thought that Mick Ralphs is more of a songwriter, while Koss was a genuine Blues-Guitar god!!!
I saw Paul Rodgers a couple of summers back, and he sounded AMAZING!Comment

I love LYNYRD SKYNYRD, but am of the opinion that the current band is NOT the real band. That original band was one of the greatest American rock 'n' roll bands, and Ronnie Van Zant was a genius. He was an intelligent country writer in a heavy rock band.

Yup, 2 original members does NOT make a band. But, with Leon passing, I suppose those old goats need to make some coin. Rick Medlocke ROCKS. Saw Blackfoot open for ZZ TOP.....on the ELIMINATOR tour!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Leon's passing was very sad and rather unexpected. But even if the band had Allen, Leon, Artimus and Ed King to join Gary and Billy, it would still be the NUTHIN' FANCY line-up minus Ronnie. And Ronnie was IT as far as I'm concerned. Gary did have some of my favorite leads in the band (a real Kossof sound, actually...as many will point out). But Ed King, Steve Gaines and Ronnie were my very favorite writers in the band, with Allen Collins coming in a close second. Gary wrote some great stuff too...but his writing is certainly not enough to carry the burden. And Johnny imitates his brother well, but he's more of a new country singer and his writing doesn't do much for me. I still will say that their second reunion album from '93, THE LAST REBEL, was really good. It had a STREET SURVIVORS spirit to it...and Ed King's solid writing and playing were all over it. Once he left and Thomason and Medlocke joined, it became more rock 'n' roll...but also much more generic. I like Rickey Medlocke...but Allen Collins he ain't.Roth Army Militia

Or you might find that your dreams
Are only program cards;
Your mind is open for me

Your Eyes see now what to see
My eyes see only the programs you give me;
I'll teach you to laugh and to cry
They're really the same you'll see;
All of the why's in your life

Feed me more lines
I will try to tell you all I can;
Before the light you must know what lies
Behind my screams;
I can't tell you all I know
Am I the son that you've always been wanting?;
There's more to me than what shows
Are you my father, the one that was promised?;
Hush now, I'll give all you need to know
and pre-live your dreams for you
You're a good boy
Freedom belongs only to those
Without video screens;
For eyes and mouth
You have no voice
To be heard my son
No one can hear when you're
Screaming in Digital ;
I'm not your slave
You can't control my emotions
No Father, please let me keep learning -
Can't you see I'm human
Can't you tell?
I'm not your slave
Oh Father no
Please don't keep me from dreaming...
Oh can't someone hear
when your Screaming in Digital?Yo Yo YoComment
