SKYNYRD - Plane ran out of fuel with them flying over the woods in a plane they knew was fucking up on a regular basis. A very stupid way to lose six human lives.

VALENS/HOLLY - They decided to fly a small four-seater in the middle of a terrible and windy winter storm. Stupid.

BILL GRAHAM - His helicopter was flying so low, it hit a power line. Stupid.

VAUGHN - His helicopter was flying so low that it went right into a hill (rising terrain) because the pilot was flying rather carelessly. Very stupid and unnecessary.

The point is that most plane deaths for rock stars weren't because of typical circumstances but sheer stupidity.
