The saddest legacy of any band, I think. Talk about tragedy after tragedy. And the thing is, as much talent as Van Zant always had surrounding him, the real legacy could still have continued had he not been one of the six dead that October Mississipi night in 1977.

Who do you prefer? Gaines or King? For me it's close. Sometimes I think Gaines because he's such a brilliant player, writer and singer...but then I remember Ed's slide on CURTIS LOEW or incredible riffs like RAILROAD SONG. Tough choice, ain't it?

Sorry,

That person died "coincidently" and "conveniently" on my B-Day. LOL!!! She was reincarnated as "RG" and I don't much care for that person. RG ain't very nice. DG was beyond a stellar woman but tis time to lay her to rest, don't you think? A ton of people think so. Tis time to move on. :D New month and January sucked.
