That's Sophie Evans, my friend. She caused quite a stir here in Portugal, 'cause we have an actress that looks alot like her. Sophie does "exotic" movies and Portugal has a lack of "colourful" models. Add internet, fakes and do the math. :D

Here's a stupid question for you for a guy that's curious...

How close in Linguistics is Portuguese to Spanish? For some reason, I guess I always viewed them as brother and sister languages.

They both come from Latin, so they're pretty close. What's weird is that Spanish is closer to Italian - which comes from the Latin too :D - at least soundwise, meaning that the phonetics are very much alike. (I might be confusing things a bit here, but it's really hard to explain these things in English.) The construction of sentences in itself, however, is a bit different in the three languages.

The reason for that might be that Portugal and Spain are next to each other. Add the similarity of the languages, and it's easy to get them mixed up, like a lot of people do.

Interesting. What about physically? I've known many a Spanish redhead, etc. But most Portuguese people I meet are dark-haired with brown eyes. Knew a great girl in the summer that was Portuguese, but it didn't really go anywhere. I usually prefer blue or green or hazel eyes, but this chick had these amazing brown eyes...

The one on the right doesn't do anything for me. I dig the one on the left, she's got a cute face and body. The brown eyes are also a plus.
