On the topic: At first I didn't realize what this thread was about. Now I know. A thread was deleted because of some stupid threat *edit - was previously misspelled as thread*. I will give my opinion on the matter, the only post I'll ever make on the subject.
Mr. Grimsdale once deleted a Katydid thread. Though at the time I was exultant, and actually asked of Mr. Grim to delete more, I now consider my previous position to be utterly wrong. NO deleting should have taken place, and NO deleting should take place in the future. I view such an action as censorship, something I completely abhor and which represents everything I utterly stand against. Should this happen again in the near future - though Mezro has already stated it won't, I can't help but bring it up - this site will most certainly lose its magic, as what makes it so great is its tolerance and free speech policy. And as such, do not be surprised if you see your number of active members lower considerably.
No, I am not making a threat of leaving as I have already done in an unrelated thread. I am simply exposing the facts I have come to understand ever since I came to this site. But I WILL leave should this continue - again, I'm sure it won't - and am afraid I'm not mistaken that others will too, if acts of censorship start taking place in 'our' beloved site.
