I'll start.


I like Human Beings.

I also liked the fact that the sisters and the E Player kept working.

I also am grateful they DIDNT try and replace DLR with some young CLONE. I mean, they couldn't POSSIBLY find a more diametrically opposed singer than Spam. I think it showed great deference to Dave's legacy.

In some small way, they were showing him some respect. ammy may have been a "step", but at least he wasnt trying to be Dave.

Big Train's obliviousness to the irony in him decrying file-sharing (as it takes money from hard working people, such as himself), but fully supporting illegal immigrants (as it saves a little money by not having to pay a full citizen for the same work for people who can afford nannies and housekeepers in the first place, such as himself) always at least entertains.

Okay, back to business....

Per your example, playing [devil's] advocate for GW.

Hmm, okay, I admire his pragmatic point of view.

but back to reality... unfortunateley, his pragmaticism is a naive trait exploited by the powers that put him in office. Left to his own devices, I really think he would have been one of the best president ever, but his true legacy will be that of a figurehead who pushed the agendas of big oil, corporations, defense contractors and the holier than thou religous right.

Far as the CVH split, can't really say anything Ed and Co have done since 1985 has been in their favor.

Don't think the Van Halens picked Hagar as a means of showing Roth respect in any sense, because the Van Halens haven't shown Roth much of ANY respect since he left the band, although they're happy to play songs he co-wrote without him, and coast off of greatest hits packages where half the songs feature him on vocals.

Bout the only good move EVH made after 1985 was getting Roth back in to sing in 1996, and from what we now know all of that was prompted by Dave calling Ed!

George W Bush is a sham. Clearly unqualified intellectually and experience-wise to hold the position he does. Just because his fuckin' daddy had the job doesn't mean HE has any particular grasp on it. Why would I waste a moments time saying, "George W sucks, but...."

There ain't no buts about it: Hagar and W are of no use to me. EVH had a purpose but is now a waste of oxygen. Roth is still rockin'!

First one: Have you evaa heard Spammy "sing" that's enough. Besides that, he's a fucking B-Movie Rock Star. He was always a neverwas and hasbeen rolled into one. He only became known and will forever be remembered as Dave's replacement.
