Rotator Cuff Surgery Anyone ???

I'm having it on wednesday.

The MRI showed tears in 3 of the 4 muscles.

Anyone ever had this done?

It's my dominant arm [ fucked it up playing tennis ]

Other than my appendix, this will be my only surgery.

Yes, I'll be home the same day [unlike appendix ]

Yes, I'm a chicken -shit raging PUSSY and scared.


How long will I have to wait before resuming wanking duties?


Anyone had this? How long before everything's "normal" ?

I don't trust what my doctor told me, he's YOUNGER than I am

my advice to you is to take it day by day, and i'm sure everything will be fine,

maybe for now slow down on the wanking... let somebody else do it 4 u!

be positive and it will be GR8 again pretty soon!

mate, you'll be fine. it's keyhole surgery

and your shoulder will be pain free in 3 to 7 days,

and mobile again in 3 to 4 weeks.

goes without saying, good eating and vitamin supplements

greatly accelerate the healing process.

Good luck with that...I will probably get surgery sooner or later as well. If its the same prob that you have, it comes from abuse. Pitchers often have that problem...mine comes from boxing.

For now I'm doing this massage thing, like squeezing the muscles back in place, streching them out..... At worst, certain muscle strands in the back and arm tense up to the point where my shoulder is visably dislocated, very painful....and it pops and cracks when I move my arm all the time.

But the massage works so far.

Does that sound like what you have?

hopefully you'll make a full recovery. a buddy of mine tore his but he never had surgery on it til it was too late. he was walking and his arm came out of socket and was lying on his chest. he had to have shoulder replacement. I tore mine about ten years ago but never had surgery. it still hurts like hell sometimes.

Nothing dislocated. Just extremely painful to raise my arm or lift heavy objects.

It does "pop" alot though.

Doc agrees with your timeline except is suggesting PT for 6-8 weeks following that. Perhaps he's getting a piece of that. Nail the insurance company for a few more thou....
