I have a question:
What is the reason why one kind of liqueur or spirit is easier to "digest" or "tolerate" than another?
I mean if they all have the same pourcentage of alchool per volume, what makes the difference?
Pardon my ignorance but I hear it all the time... "I get sick on this but not on that" etc...
and it always intrigued me?
Personnally, I just hate the taste of straight alchool (except for red wine, porto, Khalua, Baileys etc...).
I'll do shots once in a while (to get a kick start) but in the end, weather I drink Vodka, Tequila, Rum, or Gin...
it all does the same effect on my system...

generally it's the purity of the alcohol that makes the difference. Essentially when you drink, you're mildly poisoning yourself because of additives in the alcohol. Things like colouring and flavours. So if you get really pure vodka, you can drink a lot of it, with almost no hangover effect.
