It's over, we ended it civil though, which is good. She's too young to deal with conflict in a relationship, so i guess i found that out early on. I'll be ok.

But Natedog, you need to look at what kind of 22-year-old she is. If she just graduated college, lived with her parents all her life, is now just embarking out on her own in a career...she might be scared.

Does that justify what she did? No. I was at that point last year and I didn't ditch my man (who is about your age) because of it.

If she tries to get back with you, just tell her you though she was more mature than this and that she really hurt you. And then forget it. Not all young 20-somethings are like this but apparently she's still teetering in her adolescence.

But it has nothing to do with you, hun. You can't control how other people react to situations.

Yeah, just walk away at this point. But txting you like she is, she's sending confusing signals. If she continues that, just send her a message back that you're not a kid from college but an adult and leave it at that.

Sorry, Ally, I was being flippant. You seem very smart and mature for your age, however:

I don't think anyone, male or female, really knows at that point. How many times did you change your major? At least once, I bet.

I think everyone needs to live on their own for a couple years at least to really know who they are and what they want out of life. You may think you know, but you really don't until you make all your own decisions without anyone looking over your shoulder - especially that mom person that rolls her eyes because you want to eat ice cream for dinner.

I especially don't think anyone should be getting married in their early 20's. Man, I've changed so much since my 20's, I'd more than likely be divorced now if I had done it - just like 60 percent of the population.

Nate, I think you and this girl are at two different stages in your life; and she is definitely not ready for a serious relationship. Scrape your broken heart up off the floor and considering it a learning experience. What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger!
