Max, you should see "Clerks" first, as it's the first of the franchise, so to speak.

I think you would appreciate "Dogma" as well, though it's based on Catholicism rather than Mormonism.

All the Kevin Smith movies are good ("Jersey Girl" is the only one I haven't seen yet.)

As for Clerks II, it wasn't really what I was expecting from a "Clerks" sequel, but it holds up on its own as a great movie.

Max will definitely get the "Pillow Pants" jokes

I think the latter is the funnier because its all about Jay and Bob who crack my shit up...but Clerks is a good intro into who they are and what their deal is...lmao...

Clerks II was pretty funny shit. Saw it the day it came out. There's some great scenes, like the ass-to-mouth dialogue and the whole Star Wars vs. Lord of the Rings is hilarious. Jay and Silent Bob are the shit, but I'd have mixed feelings if they ever did a Clerks III, it would almost be like it was a parody of itself. The original Clerks is a cool story how Kevin Smith pretty much made it on a shoestring budget with maxed out credit cards.
