    I am in the same boat.
    I do not have a LOT of video in that format. A friend sold me a camera for 150 bucks, but the ccd in the viewfinder became nonfunctional after a year, and then one day a couple of years ago I opened the camera to put a tape in it, to watch them on TV, and the camera froze open, so I gave it to Goodwill.

        I just want to find a camera that will play the tapes, I dont care if its able to record or not....
