I just went cold turkey, myself. Been two years since I last lit a cigarette. It's hard for the first month or two, but by the time you get to six months, you hardly notice it.

Disagree, after 4 month of non smoking (dec-march) it drove me nuts. By the beginning of april the only thing haunting my mind all day long was smoking.

Ok some might say at least something was going on in my mind at all.

Sad truth is, i feel much better mentally (no cheeky comments wanted) since i started again.

Neither really. It's all a matter of finding a suitable replacement habit for 'em.
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

I had to drop out for a week and not see anyone.

Being sick right when a $1 a pack tax started Jan 1 was like a sign from heaven. It was too easy.

Too bad I'm back two years later since my girl smokes.

seeing van cherone on july 4th,1998, was enough to convince me it was time to quit.
hearing eddie finally sing lead vocals after 20 years of smoking heavily was all the reason i needed.
