Is the smoke away thing that pill? I know that there's some pill that's suppose ot make it really easier to quit. Hunnie is doing the patches and they leave a nasty taste in his mouth. I think I recall him saying it makes him feel sick. I told him to chew gum or get some lifesavers to see if they would work. If it gets any worse, I just might start looking into other things that might be better for him.
One thing I do have to tell you is I tried everything from the patches to the gum to the fake inhalers and none of it works, and I'll tell you why: (this is not from me, it was explained to me by the SmokeAway documentation) When you use those products, you are still maintaining your nicotine addiction, you are just delivering it in a different way. As soon as you stop using one of those things, your craving for nicotine has not gone away. In fact sometimes it increases your desire to begin smoking again. Your body still has the nicotine inside which makes it crave more nicotine.
In other words, if you were trying to help an alcoholic quit drinking, would you think it would be advisable to just give him alcohol via a different method?
Makes sense to me, and like I said, it worked for me so I can't really argue against it. Hope that helps somebody.

I smoked for 23 years and quit 3 1/2 years ago. I did my share of illegal partying back in the day, but I quit all that long ago. I hardly ever even drink anymore. These days, my only vices are Diet Dr. Pepper and anything chocolate.Formerly Tormented VH Fan

This was right after Reagan and Bush sent him over to Iraq to sell Saddam Hussein chemical weapons

I'll vote for a fellow ex-smoker
And btw, FORD, it tastes just fine. After all the horrible substances I've put into my body over the years, I don't think a little nerve agent can do much harm.Formerly Tormented VH Fan
