1. Dealing with bureaucratic dunderheads, absurd amounts of paperwork and a series of ultimately pointless interviews and evaluations, all in the apparently vain attempt to switch departments working for this city on the shores of the Land Of Nod.
2. Sold off most of my instruments, so now I'm down to my Explorer bass, an acoustic, a beat to death Fender Strat, a few keyboards and that ghastly 4 track I've had for years. And at this point, I don't feel like making music with any of 'em.
3. The housing market here has actually gotten worse, so it looks like I'll be keeping the house for yet another year, at least.
And that, embarrassingly enough, is the good news.
