Actually, House, like most series nowadays, sucks the big one. And I'm a HUGE Hugh Laurie fan. I've watched "A Bit of Fry & Laurie" a shitload of times, and I even like Jeeves & Wooster.

But these new series are the exact same episode, over & over again, with minor variations.

    No. Just no.

If I wanna kill my brain cells, I'll drink.

    Cheers! :bottle:

"If I didn't like it, I WOULD leave. But I like it. You dissected my message pretty poorly, nicely not addressing the segments you singled out. When I called you Linda I was mocking you, there is a running gag on Scrubs where the one doc always calls one of his underlings by a girl's name--you said you've seen the show, so there is no way you haven't seen that bit. I'm guessing you're pissed that I was familiar with it and it highlighted your limited comic ability, try stealing some humor from some old That 70's show reruns--I never watched that, can I call you Dane Cook from now on? He steals jokes too and isn't all that funny. At least you admit you are looking for positive re-enforcement from the other posters here. And, come on, tell me the same tired topics aren't brought up again and again and again on here--I hit a nerve with that one. God complex? No, if I ever devote countless hours on a website posting/defending/worshiping someone whose best days are well in the past, to achieve the status of "Moderator", then accuse me of having a God complex. Before you start, I jump on here a couple times a week or month, do my thing and leave. It makes me laugh a little, nothing wrong with that, is there? There are several folks who have pm'd me, asking me to continue because it's making this site "more interesting than it's been in a long time". They GET it, you and ford and a few others don't--that is evident by the HATE that lies within your messages to me. HATE. HATE! HATE? Unclench my friend, life is too short to carry anger like that around inside you. Peace."

        Me response...

"If I didn't like it, I WOULD leave. But I like it."

        - Because you're an attention whore. Glad we got that covered, finally...but neither one of us is really surprised, are they?

"You dissected my message pretty poorly, nicely not addressing the segments you singled out."

        - I didn't feel the need.

"When I called you Linda I was mocking you, there is a running gag on Scrubs where the one doc always calls one of his underlings by a girl's name--you said you've seen the show, so there is no way you haven't seen that bit."

        - Actually, there is a way I haven't seen that bit. I have seen the show sporadically, but I've never finished an actual episode entirely. Scrubs is a series too stupid for me to follow on a regular basis and I usually become bored within three to four minutes of watching, but thanks for finally explaining it, Nancy.

"I'm guessing you're pissed that I was familiar with it and it highlighted your limited comic ability,"

        - Keep guessing. I actually have an extremely vast sense of humor, one you'll only aspire to. Unfortunately, your total and complete lack of game hasn't really inspired me to reach my normal levels of humor.

"try stealing some humor from some old That 70's show reruns--I never watched that, can I call you Dane Cook from now on? He steals jokes too and isn't all that funny."

        - Well, we've already established that I'm not "stealing jokes", but if it's that important to you, I'll allow you to continue living in your own delusional world. I think you're the only one who cares greatly about it, anyway. I suppose, if you look hard enough, any comedian could be accused of 'stealing material' from other sources - I leave you to your diligent research.

"At least you admit you are looking for positive re-enforcement from the other posters here."

        - Hmm, not sure if I did that. I just talk here to talk, I don't have any ulterior motives and, TRUST ME, I couldn't care if the whole site's hand was turned against me. Been there, done that, bought the T shirt before you even had your internet connection active, junior.

"And, come on, tell me the same tired topics aren't brought up again and again and again on here--I hit a nerve with that one."

        - Not really. I was saying that two or three years before you originally logged on.

"God complex? No, if I ever devote countless hours on a website posting/defending/worshiping someone whose best days are well in the past, to achieve the status of "Moderator", then accuse me of having a God complex."

        - I'll reserve my own judgment, thanks.

"Before you start, I jump on here a couple times a week or month, do my thing and leave. It makes me laugh a little, nothing wrong with that, is there?"

        - Depends on whether or not you're trolling for the sole purpose of stirring up shit. Logging on, chatting and having fun with topics is one thing. Being a douchebag to draw attention to yourself is something else.

"There are several folks who have pm'd me, asking me to continue because it's making this site "more interesting than it's been in a long time". They GET it, you and ford and a few others don't--"

        - Great! Send me those PMs. I'd like to know who they are. They won't mind, trust me. Everybody here loves me, it's OK.

"that is evident by the HATE that lies within your messages to me. HATE. HATE! HATE?"

        - Hate, yeah. I might as well admit it. I hate you. In no uncertain terms, complete, unadulterated hatred. In fact, I just stew in a pot of my own venom just knowing that you walk the planet. Because, yes, you bother me that much.

"Unclench my friend, life is too short to carry anger like that around inside you. Peace."

        - I like Bolt Thrower.

For a troll, that's amazing really.

Yeah, he can articulate sentences. I'll give him that much credit. But the argument still doesn't hold any water and that's where his stance fails him.

"I log on because it amuses me to stir up shit once in a while about an aging rock star who has long since left his glory days behind and you guys get so riled up about me and that makes me feel good..." = TROLL slutting around and using the negativity he gets as a result to boost his ego.

But "It's OK because it's him doing it"...

Of course, there are MORE forums here than Main, if he's so wrapped up by the fact that Dave's best days are behind him...he COULD engage other forums and leave that since he's got it all figured out...BUT he needs the affirmation in his life that trolling gets him. Simple as that. Normal conversation doesn't "do it" for him...but being the center of attention revolving around a shitstorm of his own making, THAT gets his motor revvin'...

                      Have we seen enough, kids?

Ok, so there's this person with some disease, right? Then he goes into the hospital, and it wasn't really that disease it was something else.

Then there's this grumpy guy who nobody likes and likes nobody, but he knows everything, and just by looking at the person, he'll know that that person has a rare disease, which he recognizes as (insert name of rare disease for today's episode here).

Then we show some CGI showing the inside of the sick person's body, and the virus, or whatever, while the grumpy guy explains it.

Then he tells the other doctors how to fix the sick person, and everyone looks at the grumpy guy admiringly.

Is that it? I never actually watched a whole episode's time of House. I may have watched between 10-20 minutes of it in total, but that's the impression I get.

But it's good that Hugh Laurie got the part. After thousands of fantastic performances which very few people bothered to watch, this acting monster deserves every penny he can get.

Very few people are as talented as he is, and it's about time his bank account had a sizable amount of money in it.

                        Cheers! :bottle:

NO that's the grid for the back story. The real story are the characters and how House fucks with their lives - and he is the sort of character that you all should LOVE. If House were on these boards, he'd be a supermod, brain behind the Dump and the pissinglyest funny poster we had. He'd shred.

                              And this should put the whole fucking issue to rest:<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/T7qf0czAots&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/T7qf0czAots&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

GOD how could you all not know that there was a Van Halen reference in "House"? I'm crushed. Now I'm going to have to go back and look cause I think there was another one. And it wasn't SPed coming out of the men's room making Spammy song jokes.
