For some reason I find ballet creepy. My parents were into the fine arts so I spent my childhood being forced to go to orchestras, shakespherian festivals, broadway plays. Seeing those people dance around in tights creeped me the fuck out. Out all the stuff I was forced to go to the best was the polynesian dancers. I eat that stuff up. Grass skirts, fire dancing. I love that stuff.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

        Idiots.

OK wanna see what I find similar? And no it's not the package in tights. Go look at Baryshnikov's video at 1:55. It's beyond what any male dancer has ever done, and if it didn't have a "gay" stigma, you'd truly find it amazing. Atheleticisim at its pinnacle. If Dave had studied ballet, that's how good he'd be. I see the same power and intensity in their work.

        Oh dear.

So he was a great dancer. I was never into ballet. Buncha creeps leaping around in tights and tutus. No thanks.

Brian Jones died in 1969 also. So what? Baryshnikov toured the UK several years prior to his defection (he defected in Toronto, Canada by the way).

              Shakespeare & Broadway, "fine arts"?

              Dude...

That's so sick it's not even funny.

              Cheers! :bottle:

Hey, despite the possible gheyness involved in those activities, how many peeps get to see a Broadway play? Big production with famous actors and all that?

Why would you want to see a Broadway play when you could just see some Wagner? Or Verdi?

                  Unless, of course, you're gay.

                  Cheers! :bottle:

What does a thread about a drunken, miserable fallen star have to do with the goddamn ballet?
