Jesus, you tell retarded lies..... Battery cores are worth ten bucks and have been for the last four years after the spike in lead prices. And that's when the battery company's started charging for every core. So people aren't "Giving them away by the pallet", even back further than that I had junk guys coming in wanting to buy battery's with the Cat converters and aluminum rims.

What most re-loaders do is have guys save the lead wheel weights (I do for a guy). Easy to melt down, and separate. They also make lead sinkers for fishing round here.

The melting down battery's thing is so stupid I won't even bother to get into that. I've seen and smelled battery's burn, it's not something anybody would do on purpose.....
