It looks like they are lighting those mortar shells off with road flares. If you have ever watched them build mortar fireworks they are basically wrapped in paper and a hot flame from a road flare could burn easily through the paper layers and set the charge off and you have an explosion on the ground. It's much better to use an electronic firing system. It eliminates the open flame hazard and if there is a ground detonation, you are away from it. Clearly someone firing them on the cheap. An easy way to get third degree burns, lose an eye or even get killed.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment
