They don't mix laters backstage at Chickenfoot. They mix anal lube and santorum.

Default Sammy Talks Van Halen [03.01.12]
Talked to Sammy today about a wide range of topics, and of course Van Halen was one of them. He said a bunch of positive things, which contrasted quite a bit with what we've been seeing lately in the press.
Here are some highlights:
* He hasn't heard the new album. Didn't like "Tattoo," one other song that he thought sounded "along the same lines" but liked "She's the Woman." He also said that it's taken too long.
* Said he LOVES Ed and only wishes the best for him.
* Still thinks Dave is "silly."
* Still sore about Ray Daniels, said bringing Gary in was so Ed could have complete control.
* Talked about "Numb to the Touch," and says there are about "five other songs in the can" that are unreleased. Said that music from one of them, "The Wish," was used on VH III and that he used the "concept" for on on CF III.
* Wants to be playing in a band through his 70s.
* Remember those yellow and red jumpsuits he wore back in the day? Those straps were completely functional.
Finally, you can be a Sam fan or a Dave fan, and maybe Sam needs to STFU, but he is without a doubt one of the nicest, most genuine, down-to-earth and relaxed guys I've encountered of that stature. I'm thinking that much of the bad-mouthing he does is the result of journos taking the juiciest parts of the interview and using them.
Priceless shit here i say.Comment

The most interesting thing about Joe is his last name. If it was 'Smith' or something as ubiquitous as that he wouldn't receive near as much notice."Money can't buy poverty." -Marty FeldmanComment

There's only been one "Supergroup" that has been worth a damn imo.
just some solid good tunes here. George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne...You've got to be kidding me!
Chickenfoot could never boast having FUCKING LEGENDS like those guys had. Not a weak part of this group.Still waiting for a relevant Browns TeamComment

They ALL have egos, but Sammy is just SO insecure about needing to be perceived as intelligent. Dave may come off as a superficial party guy, but it's obvious there are many layers to him (interviews, newer lyrics, interviews, etc.) and I get the impression that he just doesn't care if you think he's intelligent or not -- just enjoy the music and hte party.Comment

And how do you explain Sammy's book? Gee, you would think Sammy and his management would have noticed all those juicy parts. How did that clever little ghost writer slip all those pages by the poor innocent Hagar?
If you are going to call yourself a journalist, you need to learn something about objectivity.Comment

People are stupid.
Because Hagars ghost writer has put something in a book DOES NOT make it true.
Especially when the fat little bundle of mediocrity has spent his whole lucky luck career lying his face off.Comment
