Quesadillas for dinner - homemade. Did not like. Salsa included on the inside was actually sweet. Yuck.
Oh dear.

Made the mistake of going to Applebees a few weeks back (no, it wasn't my idea and Socky was not there!) and I ordered a burger with jalapenos on it. They were sweet. Thank God there were some real, non sweetened peppers in the chili!Eat Us And Smile

The fruity ones are OK with chips etc, but not in a mexican main dish. (if quesadillas are really mexican....)

Never have understood the point of sweet fruit flavored salsas. Mango.... pineapple... whatever.

Had possibly the best fish fry I've ever eaten yesterday in an "Irish" pub in South Buffalo:

They used to have blue (walleye) pike in Lake Erie, it was a fish so good it was eaten into extinction with our Friday night fish fries! I recall reading an article a long time ago in the Buffalo News how the fish was commercially valuable and was even exported outside the Lakes region. According to Wiki, they're trying to find if there's a small population of them somewhere to reintroduce, and I've read in that article at one time they were contemplating attempting to use a DNA splice with yellow pike to resurrect them...Last edited by Nickdfresh; 08-27-2013, 01:07 PM.Comment
