They used to have blue (walleye) pike in Lake Erie, it was a fish so good it was eaten into extinction with our Friday night fish fries! I recall reading an article a long time ago in the Buffalo News how the fish was commercially valuable and was even exported outside the Lakes region. According to Wiki, they're trying to find if there's a small population of them somewhere to reintroduce, and I've read in that article at one time they were contemplating attempting to use a DNA splice with yellow pike to resurrect them...Originally posted by wiseguyThat shit will welcome you in the morning and pour the milk in your count chocula for ya.Comment

I ate some sort of Japanese noodle food both yesterday and today. Yesterday I ordered with soba noodles and tofu, they put very little vegetables, so I didn't like it, I threw away most of it. But today I ordered rice noodles, I threw away the tofu, they had put MUCH more vegetables in it and I had Bulgogi sauce to.
It was very good today. I ate most of it. Here is a picture

squeaky cheese curdsAnother one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!Comment

Technically this if off-topic, however...
My slightly off-center friend has a little bbq team that he competes with. Last week for our pre-game he decided to prepare something they affectionately call a "big fatty". It's comprised of several lbs. of bacon slices weaved like a basket and laid flat. On top you place sausage of your choice in a flat layer about the size of 1 1/2 sheets of printer paper. Then in the middle you place onions, mushrooms, fresh parsley and if you're inclined some jalapeno pepper slices. Then it's smoked for 3-4 hours.
Only one word does it justice - nirvana. You also get a card for a free angioplasty.Comment

And we served it with tater-tots smothered in melted jack cheese with jalapeno slices and crumbled bacon on top... with sour cream for dipping of course. It was Cholesterol Sunday ™.Comment
