Was there a footy hooligan ? I remember Sid the sexist I used to laugh but it was a bit to close to how most lads went on at the time.

I used to like Mr. Logic, who always tried to reason with unreasonable types and ending up getting a beating for his trouble. It always ended that way.

Sometimes the concept of a particular strip was funny enough to get over the fact that often the strips themselves weren't that funny. I never thought Roger Melly was that funny, but I still laugh at the thought of the image of this character with the talk-bubble declaring: 'Bollocks'.

One other I remember from around the time of the film Jurassic Park was a new strip called 'Jurassic Parkie', and it just consisted of a parkie (a park attendant, for all you non-Brits!) who went around chasing dinosaurs off his lawns with a pointy litter spike, as he said 'get the fuck out of my cunting park'.

                    Very true.

On a related note my pal once sent me an letter from London and had cut out the Roger Mellie saying Bollocks image and put it beside the stamp on the envelope.

When it arrived someone at the post office had cut out a little rectangle of black card and stuck it over the word 'Bollocks' I guess there must be a rule about having the word on the outside of an envelope.

The thought that someone had to take the time to do that was 100 000 times funnier than the original gag.

That's pretty funny - the additional 'stamp' and the censorship. I'd like to try that now and see what happens.

Probably something to do with thd word 'bollocks' being next to HRH.

I once spent a summer working as a postie a long time ago. Had great fun reading postcards as I sorted the mail before my deliveries. Jimmy Page's studio was on my route - never saw him once, though. Think it was the tail end of the heroin years for him.

Die Toten Hosen played here the first time in 1992, they have a huge Fan Club here and website, this month they will play 11 and 15 in Buenos Aires, celebrating their 30 years.
The punk movement is very active here. In my teenage years some friends of mine started the punk movement and a successful band, I will post in the Youtube Music thread a Die Toten Hosen Vid playing a song of that band in a show at Buenos Aires.

Also, I found a german news video about Die Toten Hosen playing at Buenos Aires 2009, I only know a few german words.....hahaha
I know this is not the right thread for this post, but it has a strong bond with drinking, I guess I have some pictures........
