You know the day's not gonna go so well when (at 4:30AM) right as you get the shampoo in your hair in the shower - there's a neighborhood-wide brownout. Transformer blew or some shit. Showered and shaved in total darkness. When the power DID come back on, it was intermittent -and a couple of lightbulbs (the spiffy new kind) blew. Computer's on a surge protector that thankfully held (so there's that). Lights were still flickering all over the neighborhood as I left for the office. It was all downhill from there...


But now I'm home, and medicating heavily. All is well.

Work was a disaster, had 2 guys call in and had 1 already on vacation. We were swamped all fucking day. Came home to whine to my wife, my mother in law and brother in law (think Alan from The Hangover but not funny) were here so she asked me to make dinner.
