Wait a minute... are you telling me you played those games back then? In the late 70s/early 80s, when only losers played video games? Dang it, man! That's some massive nerd-cred right there. You're an UBER-Nerd!

We'd head out on our bikes at 9 am, come home and swim, eat, then play video games from dark until damn near dawn. And that started with 2600 to ColecoVision to C64. I was out of it by the time NES hit, then started buying vintage stuff about ten years ago and play a lot of the old Nintendo stuff via emulation.Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.Comment

I haven't played Raiders in years. I remember the hardest part was using the whip or whatever to get from mountain to mountain, and then the parachute into the cave. The movie made the map room part easy.

You should try the Indiana Jones graphic adventures. The Last Crusade is all right & based off the movie, so it's basically the same plot, but the Fate of Atlantis is just flat-out balls amazing. It's basically the fourth movie, with the Crystal Skull being the fifth.
Check it out at GOG: http://www.gog.com/game/indiana_jone...te_of_atlantis
They made it so you can play it in modern systems.
It's really one of the best games I've ever played. Since it's a graphic adventure, the story IS the gameplay. And it's really, really good. It's the lost Indiana Jones movie.Comment

Pond? We had a ce-ment pond at the condos.
I've heard about the IJ game but never tried it. Didn't really play any graphic adventures, even on the C64. I'll have to see if it runs on the Ouya or something.Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.Comment

I don't think there's a version for... Ouya, but that game runs on any computer, unless we're talking about a 286.
Seriously, give it a go. You basically only use the mouse, which leaves a free hand for drinking. And it's not a reflex-based game, so drunkenness is not only a viable option, it's highly encouraged. Some of the puzzles require a well-lubricated mind!Comment
