The V6 Mustangs, especially around 2002 were just dogs. They're zippy now with 300HP, but the V8 is where it's at.

There's a gently used "Bumble Bee" SRT 392 Hemi Challenger that only generates 470-bhp with a 6-speed manual for only $40,000 at a nearby dealership here. It's a nice car. Or you can buy the Viper in the showroom marked down to only $110,000...

Guy I work with just traded in his Plum Crazy Challenger R/T for a Sublime Challenger 392. The non-SRT 392 is a pretty good deal if one just wants the big motor without all the fancy crap. His has the "performance pages" thing though.

I read somewhere that Vipers have seen a $15k price drop. Plenty of low mileage used ones around $50k.

No, not all were. Just the Ford "Cologne" (as in made in Germany) 4.0L V6 that was so dated in the Ford Explorer, much less a Mustang...

The Viper I am speaking of has the original MSRP of $140,000 on it. So it's more like a $25-30,000 price drop
