He was a tremendous talent that McCartney had fucked over (with a dead pig, of course) by making him sound and play exactly like Harrison.
Jimmy McCulloch left Wings a few years before he died. He was actually in a half-assed "reunion" of the Small Faces at the time he died.

Ronnie Lane wisely sat this one out.... and it was before he was too sick to work.

More puke inducing Disco McCartney crap. Paul isn't dead, but his career should have been after this.....

Not exactly but they definately had a lot to do with how big it got. The rumors actually started a few years earlier after somebody posted that the rumors of Paul's death in an auto accident in January 1967 were false in The Beatles Monthly, the official Beatles Fan Club magazine, in February 1967. The American college students from Iowa published an article in their college newspaper in 69 asking the question "Is Beatle Paul Mccartney Dead?" It spread from there. But just like the hoax itself the stories of the origin of the hoax spread. McCartney supposedly found out about the hoax in 67. I assume the other guys found out not long after that.

Perhaps Ringo was dropping hints in his own songs in the 70s...

            Wake up, meat head,
Don't pretend that you are dead,
Get yourself up off the cart.

It was a magazine article that kicked it off, I forget by who. It was a big deal at the time, I remember as a kid seeing the Life issue with Paul at High park that broke the rumor.

Nope, not true. Jimmy left of his own accord as he wanted to go solo (AND he felt underpayed). It wasn't about playing as much about money and credit.
