But you're still trying to stop a flesh eating virus with a Band-aid.

You prefer the Band-aid to a hospital.

Add to the fact that the Band-aid has an anticoagulant on it.

At this point the patient is stranded in the middle of the desert (literally) and it's impossible to get to the hospital any time soon. So do you take your chances with the Band Aid and keep moving towards the hospital, or do you lay down on the sand and fucking die?

Neither choice is ideal, but one is somewhat practical.

If you're stuck in the middle of the desert bleeding to death, a Band-aid won't save you. So, the lesson would be, never get stranded in the middle of the desert bleeding to death.

I agree we never should have been in the desert in the first place, but that wasn't the question. Believe me, I'd much rather have an ambulance pull up with Dr. Dean driving,, and David Lee Roth as the EMT, but that's not in the script either

I'm not the patient, the country is. So there's nothing "gay" about it.

No Hillary until 2012, if ever, although she will be NY Senator for life....

I think Kerry is going to get it. Down by us, all day, it's been people who can't speak english screaming first-time voter wearing Kerry pins.

And this is after my adventure in Manhattan were almost everyone in NOHO was wearing Bush pins.

I'm living in the twilight zone!

yeah, I know, I know, but it's weird for the part I live in. I know they redrew the lines not too long ago, but I didn't think it got this mixed up.

                              no, i hear you.

my area's probably moderate democrat, but the northern virginia polls have had kerry up by 12% (still means the state's going red). but that's much better than gore did in northern virginia.

so i go to vote this morning and damn near every ethnic minority in line's holding a republician sample ballot.

now, we're pretty diverse here, so i in no way expect all of the minorities to vote democratic. but the overwhelming amount of republican sample ballots was definititly a bit unexpected.

i guess it's what makes elections so interesting. politics and frat parties...never quite know who you're ending up in bed with!

Kerry wins popular vote by 4% and gets about 300 electoral college votes.

The election will be remembered only as "fairly close" - not the nail-biter most expected.

Analysts will blame cell phone users.

Future polls done through combo of text messaging on cell phones and land lines after all polls from this election are criticised as innacurate.
