But I must ask, is the funding for the particular school also rejected on the same grounds?Comment

I don't think religious schools should be state funded. If for nothing else, because churches and church owned properties receive huge tax breaks and that is funding enough.Originally posted by John Ashcroft

I agree we have the same problem here where the state funds catholic schools which just leads to division and misery.Comment

No, I was actually referring to the simple line:
"In God We Trust" that's "littered" all over our currency.
Tell me, will such public institutions reject all American financing on principle here? After all, America spends over $10,000 per student in our public school system per year. Will these systems reject it's funding on the same grounds? Somehow I doubt it...Comment

Works fine here though...you do choose on your property tax which school board you want you educuation tax to support.
The public and seperate school boards take care of their divisions...the only argument that could be made is that perhaps the public system would be better if all tax money would be put into one coffer.Comment

When you look at just about any leader from over a hundred years ago they tend to be nasty bastards in a modern context.
Who cares whether slave owners said they were Christians or not.

i can't belive they actually made a movie where the whole premise was there was a treasure map on the declaration of independence and i can't belive it was number one at the box office this weekend!
I can. motherfuckers are stupid man! It's like America and the da vinci code together. a patriotic mystery movie for the family without that messy 'the bible is wrong' subplot.
