BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Baghdad Governor Ali Al-Haidri was assassinated Tuesday morning in Baghdad, according to an Iraq Interior Ministry official.

Wire reports said al-Haidri was shot to death as he sat in his car.

Also on Tuesday, a car bomb killed at least 10 people near Baghdad's Green Zone, where the Iraqi government and U.S. Embassy are based, U.S. and Iraqi officials said.

Actually it's very good for a number of US interests. All that shit that gets blown up has to be replaced and rebuilt and someone gets paid to do so. Someone is usually gw&friend's extended family.
