The problem I see here is that everyone is so extreme in their views.

Muslims and Christians can be so radical it's frightening. But so can those who oppose them (Hi Nickdfresh).

Then you get someone like Lamont who makes a joke out of the whole thing while turning a blind eye to the real seriousness of the subject.

The only real solution is acceptance. And if we can't do that, at least stop shouting and ignore each other.

As far as Nick and many people go the 'extremism' is reactionary and becoming more and more common with good reason.

If there is someone walking along the sidewalk muttering nonsence to themselves talking to an imaginary friend you shake your head and ignore it. If the same person starts attacking people you want some action taken.

The same goes for the religious. In the past rational people just thought ok they're superstitious it's a fairly harmless crutch let them get on with it. When it starts impacting on teaching people bullshit as science, deciding who runs the country or making people blow you up then it gets to the point where you have to start pointing out what a misguided lot of shit they are basing these decisions on.
