That's not a bad idea. I am an OIF 1 &2 Veteran and I personally think that the so-called war is complete bullshit. But some of the guys really believe in what they are doing. Whatever gets you though, I guess. Whenever I hear another soldier say that we are there for the right reasons, I can't help but wonder why they believe that, but I never argued with them, in that situation it might've been helpful to actually believe it was such a worthy cause. I mean, I could give a shit about some Iraqi's freedom. Fuck em', I mean really, I hate to put a label on a whole society, but the vast majoriy are bunch of fuckin idiots. There are some good ones. So are we there to liberate these people or are we there to eliminate WMD? That's a question I pondered for the better part of a year over there. It was a real mess over there and still is, let me tell ya. But, back on point, here. That comment above nailed it. The US Army needs people who believe in this and are willing to put their life on the line for it. Those are the mofos who for better or worse are going to do their jobs and maybe have some pride in their performance, or they'll turn out to be shitbags like a lot of others. At least they won't just be joining because they were incompetent in the real world or want college money but don't want to get deployed. These days, I don't think that's a good reason to join, but hey, if you do your job, complete your enlistment and be a man about it, then I could give a shit why you joined, feel me? I see a lot of ribbons on cars now that I am back and that's real nice, good to see support for the troops, but the same motherfuckers with those ribbons are some of the ones who cut me off, drive slow in the passing lane and piss me off on a daily basis so much I'm thinking of putting in a claim for PTSD. So a ribbon on the car really ain't doing shit for me and my boys, I'm sure the sticker company is doing okay, though. You really want to help the cause and believe in the shit, join the fuck up. It's the chance of a lifetime if this is your thing. If you really support your troops, drive down to the VA clinic in your area and thank the guys who are there for their service. Ask a veteran's service organization for volunteer opportunities. A fuckin ribbon ain't cutting it.

What about Democrats that support the war? There are those around also. Will they be required to serve also?

What does party affiliation have to do with it?
