The big picture is, in the USA as well as here in Europe, there´s lots of stuff that won´t get done if there weren´t any people around prepared to do it at ridiculously low wages.

Well, that's a matter of citizens realizing that necessity is the mother of invention. I have friends who have master degrees who can't land work in the field that they would've liked to have, and are currently mowing lawns.

The work will get done. Why? Because people will need the work.

Of course, for the most part, the illegal immigrants are NOT doing these small little individual jobs like housekeeping, nannying, etc. They are working in factories, plants, and offices. Unions and the middle class are crumbling as a result. It's sort of like outsourcing...within the countries borders.

And it needs mending.
