Before I answer this question I want to say upfront that I am excluding FORD and his beliefs from the equasion...
The answer is YES!
Why? Because I know and believe Jesus is God in the flesh.. simple!

Ther was a rumor that the Congregationalist faith was going to become the national religion. People feared the persecution that had happened in England. The country was founded on a religious freedom principle and non-Congregationalists feared they would haveto adhere to this faith they were not apart of.
So good ol' Tommy J wrote a letter to some Baptists where he said that a wall separating church and state had been made with the 1st ammendment, meaning that there would never be an official state church like there was with, say, the Church of England. This way, you had the freedom to be any religion you wanted to, and not forced to join some church you didn't believe in because the gov't said it was the official one.Roth Army MilitiaComment
