From what I've seen in documentaries the KKK is a splintered faction now. Unlike its heyday (if you can call it that) during the early to mid 20th century. It always puzzled me as how these people could profess to be Christians when they are preaching hate of other races...especially of Jewish people. I guess they forget that Jesus was a Jew.

Now, I live in the Southeast US...about 30 miles from where the Klan was born, and I don't hear anything about them.

They still exist in Northern Arkansas from what I hear. It's still mostly white and still full of people who are filled with racist hate from the time they are born. The last major thing I remember hearing about them was the controversy over them wanting to do the Adopt a Highway plan and sponsor a mile. I'm sure they are hating the influx of Mexicans that has been rapidly increasing in that part of the state too.
