Sorry to clutter up this thread but Pope JP with all his faults was a much nicer guy than Mother Theresa. Despite the accepted wisdom she was a nasty hypocritical bitch who courted evil dicators for money to get herself private healthcare while telling the people in her 'hospital' that suffering was good for them.

Interesting times ahead as the catholic church starts to implode as the liberals or conservatives refuse to accept the new guy.

Yeah that seems to be true.

I've seen claims that he was born Jewish and others that he worked in a Nazi factory during the war which made the cyanide for the gas chambers.
