the fact is that there were a couple of Canadians that served with my relatives and all this banter is doing is cheapening the unity that they felt for each other as they fought side by side, not us, nobody on this site understands how they all went to battle with each other and how they fought together.
I find it insulting to both countries to even have this "My dick is bigger than yours" debate over a war non of us were personally involved in.
My Grandmother sat down with us and told us stories at length about that war and how EVERYONE involved was on the same team PROUDLY.

America and Canada BOTH gave lives to the cause and who lost more or not don't mean jack to me. war is bloody and it kills people without discrimination and one life lost be it American or Canadian is one to many for me.
We all bleed and we all die, and in THAT war both our countries were comrades and whether you want to admit it or not, they protected each other without question.

Actually that would have won the war against terrorism at a stroke.

Invading Saudi would have cut off most of the funding and replaced a tyrant with a free democratic government.

Invading Israel would have stopped the US being seen as the big prop to the murderous Israeli regime removing the motive for attacking Western Powers.

And Bush would have got his oil. Saudi has bigger reserves than Iraq.

Of course in both cases the US would have had to fight troops armed to the teeth with American weapons.
