Actually, our military was very successful at neutering the Iraqi army. We steamrolled right over them into Baghdad.

Now, we are fighting men who are not fighting a conventional war and are not holding the Geneva convention in any regard. We are in effect fighting with one hand tied behind our backs, because we can't use dirty tricks like bombing cars or strapping explosives to young children and have them walk out into a public square.

I think we have done quite well so far, considering the circumstances.

You may be right. The rest of his comments make clear that his big beef is with the way we've been handling Guantanamo. Either way, his comments could have been expressed much better.
