Hold on now, There wasn't one word in my last post that said i was ok with what they did.
I will say that there is more to the story than what was reported given how it turned out.
And i was not making a racist comment either.
I was stating a fact in my own community. there are no blacks in our neighborhood and there is no reason for them to be walking around here on foot unless they are casing something to steal.
Last year, it was my daughters new bike that got stolen, it was on video and the kid was black.
Now how is that racist?
I didn't steal anything, and those are just the facts as they presented themselves.

Oh, and i'm a recently converted Moderate, the middle is a more steady place to be these days and keeps me from compromising my values.

I do believe in God, but i'm not a flag waving cheerleader for war type, if that is what you were getting at.
I believe God helps those who help themselves and all people, no matter their race, are equal in the eyes of God.

ok under this guy that did this logic....if lets say a car of black guys that happen into the area he has the right to beat them up...what if next time the guys were innocently lost...maybe actually visiting someone etc........than the situation would be that of beating up people just cause they were black and in the wrong area...I think it's terrible but you know that's just my opinion....

I have to agree with ya, to a certain point.
I had a '79 Trans Am, beautiful car and in perfect shape, until someone wanted my stereo and destroyed the dash and the door to get it.
I borrowed a receipt from a friend who had a much nicer system than mine and got the old replaced with better than what i had before, that wasn't right of course, but i was pissed.

Then when i got my car back from the garage after having a new dash installed, nothing lined up and knobs and switches that should never move at all seemed to flop around in their sockets....The car was a mess from then on and they never got it right to my satisfaction.

The whole deal just killed the value of an otherwise perfect muscle car.

I no longer leave anything of value in a car and i never lock the doors, what's the point? If someone is dead set to take what you have, they will go for it any way they think they have to.

But killing a man over it?
It isn't worth all that to me as long as my premiums are paid and i can still get a fair market price for the vehicle.

Break into my house though?
You're a dead man and i am the only one who will have a story to tell the authorities if they choose to break in while i'm home.

I treat people as i want to be treated, and those that do me wrong should expect the same in return.

Hell, that's better than what my philosophy used to be, which was, "Do unto others BEFORE they do unto you", lol....

It is terrible, and hate crimes are unacceptable in my opinion.
But it just seems to me that the reported end result doesn't fully explain the whole deal here.

People say and do some crazy things to avoid trouble when they're busted doing something wrong.

No, but i believe the story has been twisted a bit, and them admitting to being there to steal a car sounds a lot like a reverse psychology tactic to me.
Admit some guilt so you don't look biased putting greater blame for a greater crime on someone else.

You'd be surprised how often that actually works, and women are really good at that game too...............

Why would the black guys confess to being there to steal a car if they did not get caught in the act? Perhaps they had jimmy-tools with them... who knows.

Also at question is the specifics of the fight....who attacked whom first? It is unclear.

Also unclear is whether they were caught in the act or not.

Not enough info in the article to really make a judgement....

But take it a step further...

If they went through with their plans to steal a car, and someone walked in on the theft, does anyone question whether those 3 guys would have killed and/or seriously hurt him ???

So it's not a stretch stating that the fight possibly saved someone ELSE's life....
