Yeah, so Bush is just a dummy that deserves no credit/blame as his "handlers" pulled off one of the most spectacular, photographed, and publicized acts of mass murder, but yet they couldn't figure out that you needed at least twice as many troops to successfully conquer and occupy Iraq?

Any President, to a degree, is somewhat at the mercy of his cabinet and advisors. I guess you could call them his "handlers."

Anyway, I've done quite a bit of reading lately on the Iraq War, particularly the "behind the scenes" crap that never gets reported on the news (mainly because the sources come from personal interviews, but I digress...).

Bush was a lot more in the mix concerning the development of policy than you may imagine.

Bush has damaged the Republican party so bad that it probably won't matter, as I refuse to believe the American people would be stupid enough to vote the GOP back into office with the incredile choices in the Democratic party right now. I think the real election is going on right now, and once the Democratic nomination is confirmed, that will be that. Call me optimistic, but I'm cool with that. I think we will have some good times ahead.
