I closed the Peter Jennings thread because it had become a personal venue for AssProwler to spew his hatred of the man, like a good little Bush employee, and had long ceased to be a thread to comment on Jennings himself or what he accomplished as a journalist. Your real beef is with the Carmine thread, I know, and this one pales in comparison. FORD actually had a pseudo-legitimate reason for closing the Jennings thread. But he would be much better off in the long run (and incur far less hostility) if he'd just tell people to fuck off WITHOUT making accusations, disclosing personal info, and closing threads.
