I've heard a few stories listening to the radio of some of the things that have happened since the hurricane left:

• One story goes (straight out of Mad MAX or even IRAQ) that gun wielding criminals surrounded a police station and a fierce gun battle ensued before the cops could force them back.
  
  Young girls were raped, and one may have been murdered, in full view of sick and old people at the convention center.
  
  Cops changed into civilian clothes and fled the city...
  
  An NPR journalist claims that a young woman had went into diabetic shock as Nat'l Guardsmen stood by oblivious as "they were focused on keep the crowd at bay."
