Now that the court has given the President the powers of a medieval king it makes it all the more important you don't elect someone who will use them...

Seems to me to be a very partisan judgement but he appointed 3/9 of the judges of course. The Mar A Largo case is an open goal of a case he's clearly guilty but it is being blatantly blocked by another judge he appointed. From the outside the US justice system is looking crooked.

This isn't To Kill a Mocking Bird or 12 Angry Men....

As they sit at the moment... the current leadership choices suck!

Terry thoughtfully pointed out many of the core issues most Americans care about and are impacted by... inflation, interest rates, the border/immigration, lawlessness/crime, national debt and international policy. Majority of adult voter share more in common over concerns on those core issues than differences.

Neither presidential candidate offers a palatable vision to address those issues that would produce the results most of the country wants.

There's stirring and indicators that big money and the shadow big power players in the Democratic party are looking to find Sleepy Joe™ an off-ramp or outright force him out. If that happens and I believe it's got a strong probability factor... it could cause a major shift that puts Trump at a significant disadvantage. Biden's replacement is the questionable part of the puzzle... Harris ain't it and Newsome is questionable as well. But I can't imagine the top players can back another Biden term, nor stomach a Trump victory... Something is gonna have to give...

You and pretty much anyone else reading this would be a better option than Trump. I don't see how given his last term people think he will improve any of the issues you list. Last time he borrowed (or made US taxpayers borrow) a bunch of money and gave it to rich people how does that solve inflation? He didn't build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.

Lot of voters out there are looking at the economic landscape - substantial, prolonged inflation combined with skyrocketing interest and premiums - along with the seeming inability for us to control the influx of immigrants looking to enter the country and combining that with the sad state of many of our major American cities (homelessness, lawlessness) and making the calculation that this all results from failed democratic party policies and a lack of ability on the part of the Biden Administration to get a hold on the economy. For their troubles, said voters are being told "the economy/housing isn't that bad" and that all these illegal immigrants pouring over the southern border is good for the country...basically, if you're hurting economically, it's your fault for either not being successful or being too much of a pussy that you can't tighten your belt a little more and if you think your country should exhibit strict control over who can come and live in it, then you're a racist.

Top that off with no foreign policy achievements to speak of, I'm a little unsure as to what Biden is going to campaign on, other than what he did 4 years ago which is the anti-Trump candidate.

Again, who knows? Maybe not being Donald Trump will be enough again this fall. Hard for me to look at the last 4 years in America as a success. Even harder to think Biden has the juice to go another four years.

Had made the choice earlier this year that I wasn't voting.

Nothing I saw on that debate stage made me change my mind on that.

The way I saw it, neither candidate 'won'...though people got a clear look at Biden in a format using the ground rules he wanted, and the result was troubling. Very worrying, And all this surrogate chatter that "Biden' had a cold" or "Biden is totally on top of his game in private meetings"...no. Just no. Can't gaslight Biden's appearance and demeanor. No soft-pedalling it any more. Can't pretend it was the result of a maga deepfake. Nor that it was a temporary glitch. Heck, I VOTED for Biden and honestly I'm concerned that he has the capacity to last until the end of this term, much less four more years.

The best dem surrogates can seem to suggest boils down in essence to "yeah, Biden isn't as capable as he should be, but what he stands for is better than what Trump is offering."

Well, good luck to the party with that. Who knows? Biden still may win in November. I'm far, far less concerned with Biden than I am the country.

Best thing about the debate was popcorn I made just before it started... I've pegged it the rearview mirror debate. Most of the discussion was what's behind us and no vision for the future. At least the Democrats can't spin Biden's poor state or call that Cheap fakes...

The thing about fact checks is that when it comes to January 6th you will never get to the bottom of the National guard issue. Interesting article here:

As an outsider, I thought the moderators did a good job of letting these guys hang themselves.
    But it was pretty boring.
I saw Biden forgetting memorized lines and Trump talking off the top of his head as usual and making speeches.
Even when Trump is somewhat accurate, he doesn't elaborate and misses opportunities.
He says he funded African American colleges at one point in one of his stream of consciousness rambling type answers.
What he should have said was , he gave then funding for 10 years as opposed to one year at a time under Obama.
Biden didn't perform as badly as some are making out, but it was the decline relative to four years ago that is shocking.

Brain dead Bidet. Slobbering and stammering jibberish most of the night. Wow. This decrepit old motherfucker belongs in a memory care facility now, and will damn sure be in one before the next 4 years are up. It’s amazing just how dumb the DemonRats are. Thank you for showing the world what America already knew about this fool. Thank you for handing the White House back to Trump, on a silver platter. Ignorance is bliss, and the Dumbocrats are mouth breathing proof of that.

    Make America Great Again, Again!
