The thing I don't understand is that you take the time to do that but you are ok with the lies.

All politicians do and always have spun but that's different than just plain lies.

You are accepting that. If a politician I agreed with and voted for told me a bare faced lie I would lose respect for them and not not believe other things they said.

That was the way things worked. For some reason even people like you are ok now with crazy lies.

If there is no truth then what is the point in anything?

Never said I was ok with the lies... Most of what comes out of politicians mouths is half truths and outright bullshit.

The only truths I believe in are when taxes get cut and I pay less to those idiots. In my work I deal with a lot of regulatory crap related to the health care industry... that does give me insight into the legislative process and results that come out of Washington and state governments. With that I've developed a high tolerance to bullshit that can't be avoided.
