Probably not for a while yet, but eventually, yes. This country will collapse under it's own weight and it's own greed. It's the fate of every industrialized nation. What goes up eventually comes down, and every empire falls.
Just a matter of when. Maybe 50 years, maybe 100...maybe not even that long, but America will collapse. Doesn't matter who's running it.
The United States fell into a simular situation 100 years ago when a few people had all the wealth and could control it through monopolies. That's when a great president named Teddy Roosevelt broke up the trusts with anti-trust legislation. Teddy came from elitist roots himself but had the ethics to make the playing field fair to those who could not compete against the monopolies. Sadly, non of our current politicians are like Teddy Roosevelt. They regulate nothing, they just take the special intrest money from the companies that continue to buy and merge with one another. The trusts are coming back and they own our govt. If you ever wondered why Teddy Roosevelt is on Mount Rushmore with Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson, it's because he had the balls to go against big business. Teddy could not be bought.

Cat, you've changed your mind because you are observant and intelligent.
It's even harder to pin down than that because GW is nothing at all.
He's just a talking head for a group with an agenda that is pretty hard to work out but definitely radical. Maybe FORD is right and it's all PNAC and BCE but I think that's maybe giving them too much credit. I think they are just a bunch of greedy souless bastards.
The funny thing about their approach is that they got a talking head that couldn't really talk...seems to be working right enough.
