George Washington. He could have been the emporer of the United States and turned absolute power down. Napoleon once said the problem with the French is they wanted him to be George Washington and he didn't want to be. Enough said. Most people buckle under power and become corrupt with it. George Washington did not give into temptation. One of the best leaders in world history for that very reason.
James Madison. Kept the govt. together and showed increadable balls during the War of 1812. The only US President that had to flee the White House because it was under attack.
Ulysess S. Grant. Treated his enemy with respect and avoided prolonging the hate fueled by the civil war. He did enormouse good keeping the country from falling back into civil war again.
Teddy Roosevelt. We enjoy great national parks because of him and he broke up the trusts. Something that needs to be done today. Teddy could not be bought or intimidated by big business. He had balls.
