The BUFFALO area was the first in the US I believe (the franchise's namesake was a legendary 42-year old defenseman for the SABRES hockey team when he drove his Ford Cobra into an 18-wheeler on the QEW expressway in Ontario, and was killed in 74'). They're gradually branching out into the North East, hardly any DUNCAN DONUTs here anymore.

This is a tough one, because i'm officially part of the BCE...I own Krispy Kreme stock, lol.
It's actually a good one and it appears it is about to get even better.

It's one that you may want to get in with quickly and hang on to it for retirement.
And now that it is owned by people who aren't so spend contious it will get the long overdue overhaul they have been waiting for the last 10 years.
Some of them look really nice, but there are quite a few that are in desperate need of renovation.
The donuts sell like hot cakes in the Speedway and Starvin Marvin stores, the racks are empty by late afternoon, lol....*cha ching*

I thought Beatrice foods was bought by Carlyle but i have found no info on any of that, so nevermind.

You can buy a Snappy Tomato Pizza franchise for $50,000 that is more profitable than $220,000 Dunkin Donuts deal.
You can even buy a Macco franchise for less than that.

15-20 years ago Dunkin Donuts had a great reputation, but when the foreigners started buying them up and let the places get nasty, it killed them.
But like i said earlier, at least now they will have some sort of regulated standard to follow and more corporate funds to improve the business...if they're smart.
