This isn't really a discussion thread, dummy. And yes, if you fucking break the law, your "assets" are not safe anywhere. Drunk drivers get fined heavily. Tax cheats are fined and go to jail all the time. Do you really think Jeff Benzos isn't laughing his dick off right now about Trump taking it in the ass over lying for 40 years?

Well that's the thing, whats the difference between paying taxes to insure yourself against a medical bill or paying insurance?

If you pay it to the government then firstly it's usually going to be cheaper because no profit being stripped off by the insurance company or the providers and secondly one big purchaser of drugs and everything else can hold the corporations to much cheaper prices.

Anyhoo not my problem but you guys are getting ripped off big time...

Yeah but I can choose my doctor and the waiting times are short. No question there’s corruption in the system but some of that is because the government does a poor job of regulating the industry. Throwing it all to the government won’t change the corruption and we will just have private healthcare for the rich like they do in the UK. I really don’t want Norwegian level taxes. If I didn’t like it here I easily could move.

With 8 vehicles (I got rid of one in October!) I pay more than my fair share of road taxes. And then I ride my bike all summer! :D
